Excellent but two things to know

Verified Purchase

These are excellent retainers, but there are a couple of things you should know. The cord is fairly stiff. It's described in the product info as "4.5mm climbing rope." Set your glasses on a counter, and the cord will stick straight out, not pile up. In use, this is an advantage. The cord doesn't get tangled up in collars and is easier to put over your head. The other thing is that the attachment to the earpiece is tight. You only need to push these on a quarter-inch, maybe less, and they're snug. It's impressive, but if you have wide earpieces, they probably won't work. Not enough stretch. If you don't like the bulky connections that fit farther up the earpiece and may be uncomfortable or may interfere with external hearing aids, these are perfect.

These are just what I was looking for! Very well made. Nice thickness & they go on no problem. After dropping $260 on a pair of Oakley Radar Range polarized Sunglasses there is no way in HE11 I wanted to loose them. I asked the girl in the Oakley store if they sold these an she told me "No Sir, Oakley's are designed & specially treated so the don't fall off". I decide not to take the chance. Especially when Mountain biking. Plus I can be absentminded an put things down & forget about them. Now for less the $10 my $260 purchase is nice and safe around my neck at all times. Def pick this up.

Just moved to the beach, and everyone down here has the eyewear retainers. I saw these online and they looked like a good fit for the sunglasses that I owned. They arrived in the mail, and they were as described by the seller. I installed them on my sunglasses and they work good. They haven't fallen off yet, but fingers crossed! My only complaint would be when you adjust them, and take the slack out the rope stands straight up on the back of my neck. I guess if I wear them for a little while longer the rope will soften up and lay down a little better behind my head.

Do exactly what they are supposed to do, keep your glasses in the correct position when you are in motion. Easy adjustable strap to hang your glasses around your neck or on the mirror when not in use. Push on grip that secures well, a lot easier to get on than take off so if you constantly remove them you should probably go with a wrap around rather than push on end. They come off but you have to pull hard to remove them from the ends of the ear pieces.

They do the job OK and I appreciate them being on Amazon because I don't have the patience or time to wander around various store aisles looking for this obscure item - the one you've seen a million times on a checkout counter but can't quite remember where.

The part that is supposed to to over the the ends of your sunglasses is not very stretchy (although has a lot of grip) and not very accommodating for those glasses arms which "bulb" out at the end (which are...most of them?) so slowly even though they have been able to get a grip on a small portion of the sunglasses, they have ripped open and now have trouble holding onto anything.

The picture for this product is misleading. But, if you can get over that faux pas, this strap works great. I used them when I went sailing and wore my Oakley Fuel Cell glasses. They have pretty beefy temple pieces and this strap fit over the ends no problem. They held on with no problem and I didn't even notice they were on the glasses (no excess pressure on my temples).
