In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Great....at first...
I purchased these shoes November 2014 (about 4 months ago). I log all of the miles I put on each of my running shoes. The surface I run on is sidewalk-to road-thru bike path as my normal route. I have also run 2 half marathons in these shoes.As of this writing, I have only put 75 miles on the shoes and they have already worn down the heel to the gel bubble. Is it because I'm too hard on the shoe? Maybe, but my previous running shoes (Brooks, Saucony) did not need to be replaced as quickly as I have needed to replace these.What's worse, I am showing some symptoms of plantar fasciitis, probably due to how quickly these shoes have worn down. I am always on a quest to find the right shoe for me, my running style, and surface that I run on. These are not the ones for me. I've included a picture of the shoe, again, after only 75 miles.

Shoes are great and fit as expected.
Since I'm an Asics shoes fan for running, I bought this pair for my wife. With other brands is sometimes hard that shoes fit as expected even in a single brand between models. With Asics there's a standard and, at least for me, there's no problems buying online a pair of shoes.
I bough them for my wife because she used to run with another brand (because they look good) but after a while, she started to complain of pain in her knees. After she uses Asics, not only disappear the pain during the month of use, but also has been able to improve her performance from a beginner to a more committed runner.
For me, this are by far the best running shoes ever found after tried a lot of brands during the last couple of years. Asics has the best cushion and support to your entire body while running (feet, calves, knees, hip, column).
My choice is definitively Asics which I totally recommend.

Love these shoes! They feel so great to run- not really like clouds as the other reviews state but they feel cushioned yet stable. It's too easy for me to roll and injure my ankles but these offer a lot of support so I don't see it happening. I have always worn Nike Vomeros for running but it got to the point where I felt like the shoes were clunky and wide for my feet (I needed extra cushion since I have shin splints if not). I feel like Asics gave this shoe the right amount of cushion without making it bulky. The teal and melon colors are better than the picture makes it look- it's not really an orange color but rather a neon coral. I have had to get used to the brightness but even though I wasn't initially crazy about the color, everyone who saw them gave me great compliments! (Running shoes aren't for style but it is a plus!) funny thing, I just ordered these and now 3 weeks later, Asics introduces the cumulus 16!!? Hopefully I'm not missing out but maybe that's why these were priced less...should have thought about that...anyway, I would def recommend these to someone looking for a neutral ride running shoe.

These shoes are great if you are on your feet a lot. I work at a hospital and I am on my feet all day on concrete/tile floors. It has been hard on my body my knees and feet hurt unless I buy inserts for my other shoes. I also like to run, and was looking for a shoe that would solve those problems. This shoe does the job. They are very comfortable, and I've worn them to work every day since I bought them, and I haven't had any pain at all! I read all the reviews on fit and performance, but still found the to box to be a bit tight and I have narrow feet. It will certainly loosen up a bit as I continue running, but it was surprising to me they did squeeze slightly. I got these and wore them to the gym same day without any major complaints!!! The toe box was not noticeable enough to be a bother while running and I had NO spots that rubbed or created friction!!! I even had existing blisters from my last pair of shoes that these shoes did not further irritate in the least - imagine my joy on that one!!!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Asics shoes and will absolutely recommend these both to avid runners and beginners. The shoes are light, colorful, incredibly comfortable and all around supportive in all the areas needed!!

Good quality shoe. They seem to run a tad small, I wear a 7.5 - 8 and these are a bit snug. I think they will stretch with wear. Overall good heel support, balls of my feet do not hurt like in my other ones. This shoe had high ratings, so far so good. I am getting shin pains, but I believe that is probably due to running on paved roads and the impact from that.

UPDATE: These are great support for my running habit. They have held up great and they have a wider toe box than other brands, which I like. I have purchased replacement insoles and now do not have any pain while running. ASICS are definitely the brand my feet love.

I'm a nurse with high arches and Asics are usually my go to shoes. I have been wearing the Kayanos for about 4 months and I started to feel extreme pain in my feet, so I decided it was time to step it up to a better pair of Asics. I went for the gel Cumulus because they were my favorite type of shoes to run in and I figured if they were good for long runs, they'd be good for work. Hot dang!! This is my third pair of Cumulus 15 running shoes. I always buy the same shoe in the same size. I run on average 20 miles a week, I run a race a month, and I walk each day during my lunch hour so I really put my shoes through a lot. I suffered from plantar fasciitis in early 2013 because I switched from these shoes to a lower profiled shoe of a different brand. My mistake. I should have stuck with what worked. Since then I've stayed true to these shoes.

My one BIG issue? After three weeks of wearing these daily and running in them, I already have a hole on the top of my right shoe. And this isn't the first pair to do this. Each pair I've had over the last year have done the same thing. My big toe has broken through the mesh and now there is a hole that is slowly getting bigger and bigger. Disappointing that the materials of this shoe fall apart so easily when the padding is perfectly fine. Other than that hole, the shoes are perfectly fine and still in good condition so I'm sticking with them. I'm afraid to switch out of this shoe due to my experience with plantar fasciitis and wearing a different brand. I just wish the shoe didn't fall apart so fast for the price I've paid.
