This thing is fine, especially for the money. I wanted a cheap decent laptop that could still be had with Windows 7. Some things to do:
1) The Win7 operating system must have been loaded a couple of years ago so when you first fire the computer up, you will have to download and install about 58 updates. This can take awhile but only needs to be done once.
2) If running on batteries, all of the power management settings are pre-set to "max battery life" meaning the processor, etc, are set to run at their slowest speed. Change settings to "max performance".
3) Like most computers, this one is loaded with useless bloatware, much of which wants to run all the time. Run "msconfig", look at the startup programs, and uncheck all the useless stuff from the list. (If you are not sure what is useless, you can Google the names of the files you see.)
4) The C-drive hard disk (under "properties") comes pre-selected for "scheduled de-fragmentation". It is set for every Wednesday at 1 AM. If you turn the computer on only when you want to use it, it may want to immediately run the disk de-frag routine and that will slow things down.
5) If you want to speed it up further, get rid of the constantly running anti-virus and the constantly running automatic updates.

If you make a few of these changes, this laptop will boot-up and run fairly quickly.

I have been in the market now for a new laptop for 2 months and have actually returned two laptop so far because I was not happy with them. I must mention that the two laptops that I returned were both twice the price of this laptop and were Sony and Acer brands. This one exceeds the other two in performace and especially screen quality. For the price this is a pretty darn good laptop. It is not nearly as slow as I was thinking it would be from the other reviews. I love that it has windows 7 and an "old fashioned" track click pad. The screen quality is my favorite part of the laptop. The colors are very vibrant and the images shockingly sharp. It blows my other two returned laptop screens away! The keyboard feels sturdy and very good quality. The only cons so far would be that it is a little bit slower than I would like and one of the mouse track buttons rattles a bit and are poor quality. Otherwise it is an impressive computer for $330. the graphics card is very impressive for the price. I should also mention that I am typically pretty picky with my laptops so the fact that I found one I like as much as this for as low a price is rare. This is day one with the laptop so I will update if I have any problems and end up returning this one too.

Update: This laptop is just too slow for me. It is possible that it may be my internet connection but my other two laptops which are 3 years old and have slow processors as well are still much faster than this one. How very disappointing because I really love everything else about this laptop. It is so hard to find a good laptop with windows 7 and a click mouse. I am considering the Asus touchscreen Vivo which is REALLY pricy but hey at least it has good reviews. Back to the drawing board I guess :(

Excellent service, I just got this amazing laptop and had a spill,a first for me and I called Customer service and they assisted with shipping and warranty,along with complete repair at no charge Thank You, back to the laptop it has windows 7 that will not be installed on computers any longer because of the move to install windows 8, but what they do not tell you is that windows 8 is for touch screens, not keybord use only, so there are many more keystrokes to get to where your going and having to adjust the screen with keyboard constantly. That said this laptop is great for streaming, the AMD program assist with adjusting with various stream websites I never had a problem and started enjoying this laptop more than my Toshiba laptop or dell desktop very user friendly just a note do not rush setup when first turning on new laptop and it will, after completing of updating, run very fast and after removing some of the preinstalled options extras makes using this laptop very easy and fun. Also it has 1GB dedicated RAM for Graphics card and yes some sharing is going on. Just got my laptop back from repair and all my info and security and settings have not been lost or removed. Working perfect.

This is a perfect laptop for setting around surfing and movie watching etc... Was looking for a 14 but saved alot by going to the 15.6 Does not have a USB 3 no big deal for me on that
