Cannot find a single dud on this album. This entire album is enjoyable from beginning to end. Play in order and off you go on a journey. The track order almost feels like life itself - starts with a bang, learn a couple things, appreciate companionship, and then slowly drift into the sunset (One Dirt Road, Some Ol' Redneck Reason).

I normally lean more towards the Band Perry, Chris Young type of vocal style and music, but Mr. Moore had me hooked at "Lettin' the Night Roll." Listened to a few of his tracks and I was very pleased that his songs are similar to "Lettin' the Night Roll" (hate it when I hear a song on the radio and their album sounds nothing like it). He sings with so much passion, flow, and emotion. I love it. his band/production stays exactly within his roots and the result is beautiful. Meaningful, enjoyable tracks.

A few quick thoughts on each track, in case you were curious or just wanted a few of his singles. But, I'd recommend getting the entire album.

(1) Old Back in the New School - High energy rock. Takes shots at the new "hip," "hipster" culture. But doesn't hate it. Everyone's different and times change. Ultimately, we're all in it together and should embrace each others differences. Just remember to respect the old school ways.

(2) Beer - Love the smooth rock.I dig the soft piano keys throughout the song. Gives it a sentimental feel.

(3) Lettin' the Night Roll - Lovely song. Very easy to sing along with. Really enjoyed the quick delivery of "Baby keep on keep on swaying to the backbeat. Long as you're right here right here beside me. You make the call baby I don't care. We can take this anywhere." Perfect.

(4) Old Habits (feat. Miranda Lambert) - The only duet (I wouldn't really count Charlie Daniels) on this album and it is a good one. Miranda lends her girl-power vocals with success. Lyrics have a somber tone, longing for someone.

(5) Point at You - Man's got a weakness, a soft side. His lady. Sing along and show your appreciation for your lady.

(6) Wheels - Surprisingly not too obnoxious. Too much vroom vroom look at my big truck in country right now (cough cough Florida Georgia Line). This is simply an appreciation of his beautiful ride. Keep her clean. Take her for a spin. That's it. Simple things in life.

(7) I'd Want It To Be Yours - A unique sound indeed. Some rather suggestive lyrics. From comparing your lady's behind to a combination of Kim Kardashian & JLO to the a waist size of 36-24-39, these words will have you hooked. Mellow, smooth sweet talk to the lovely buttocks. Yes.

(8) This Kind of Town - Emotional. Personal. Relatable. Whether you're in the south, east or west coast, this song hits home.

(9) Dirt Road Kid - Boat loads of energy. High powered guitaring and some aggressive piano playing. "Loud & Rowdy" should just about sum up this song.

(10) Country Radio - A "bridge" song if you will. Fun, catchy. Nothing too memorable (at least not for me).

(11) That's how I know you Loved me - This song is an open letter. Really leaves himself wide & vulnerable. Slow, mellow song. Soft notes. A song you'd play during a TV show of both people away from each other, realizing they need each other. Bittersweet, but leaning towards enlightening.

(12) One Dirt Road - My favorite song on this album. From the sentimental acoustic guitar intro to the reminiscent electric guitar bridge, I really sense the appreciation of life.
(13) Off the Beaten Path - Didn't quite hit me. A song about wooing a lady.

(14) Field Fulla Hillbillies - Pride. Proud. A tribute and easygoing storytelling of hillbilly life.

(15) Big Ass Headache - Hangover anthem in the making. Slow, delicate playing of drums, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar. It's a lazy Sunday.

(16) For Some Ol' Redneck Reason - The grand finale. We've reached the top of the mountain. What now? Look around and soak it all in. What have we learned from this album? Respect your elders (old back with new school), have a good but respectable (big ass headache) time, treat your lady right (Lettin' the night roll), and don't forgot your roots (This kind of town, one dirt road). Some Ol' Redneck reason is all of the above. Lovely one minute instrumental to finish this song. Wind down and enjoy.

I'm thirsty. Give me a beer.
Highly, highly recommended.

Great CD from Justin Moore. I ended up getting this for my brother for a gift, and I got to download the songs from the AutoRip feature from Amazon. It's a fun album to listen to. Some of my favorite songs on the album are "Point At You", "Big Ass Headache" and "Beer". It's a great CD to play while you're grilling on the patio on while on the lake with friends.

I bought this album because I knew Justin Moore is a great country artist. I don't listen to country a lot, but it's a nice mix up now and then. The album definitely delivers on Justin's country fame. If you're a fan of the artist then this is a must buy. (Sorry for the vague review, but I can't say much more as this isn't my choice of a genre to always listen to).

Off The Beaten Path is a wonderful album. I love the touch of old time country in some of the songs on this album. I bought this album after hearing "One Dirt Road" at a funeral. It fit my family perfectly. Then I reviewed the album and decided to buy two. One for me and one for my step son. Great album.

I bought Off The Beaten Path (Deluxe) and it took me over a week to open it but I'm so glad I did. I played the CD and when it was over I just had to play it again! Buy Justin's CD if you want true country music (I'm tired of country-rock & country-island music). You will not be disappointed!

I love this CD. I have his previous one and have seen him in concert so knew it would be great! When I saw him over a year ago play before Eric Church, I knew that it was just a matter of time before he was the headliner, and now he is. Great CD!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Off The Beaten Path - Justin Moore
Reviewed in Italy on June 27, 2014
Questi mostra il suo lato nostalgico in "This Kind of Town," dove l'interpretazione è davvero sublime.
"That's How I Know You Love Me" è un ode all'amore non condizionato.
Nel complesso "Off the Beaten Path" è un lavoro altamente ecletico e sincero.
