I absolutely loved these when I received them, but to my disappointment, they were too big. I am sending these back to try another size; I got these in wide width, I will try them in regular width. Hopefully these will fit cause they are exactly what I was looking for. Would like to get in different colors also.
Champaign color is not too nice -and the shoe is somewhat large so if you are a 8.5 stick to that do not go to a size 9. Shoe is comfortable.Price is good. Shipping was excellent but it was unfortunately not my style
These shoes are very stylish. I like the color and the height is perfect because they aren't too high. I agree with another review about the tightness across the front of the shoe. I also have a wide foot and even though I ordered a wide width, they are still a little tight against the toes even though the rest of the shoe fits just right. I think they will stretch enough to keep them.
Superb value again from Renown. Surprisingly for this company, who usually release only British films, the set contains 5 American productions. All the films here, regardless of origin, are medium-low to bargain-basement budget. All are b/w except for Gorgo and The Crater Lake Monster (by far the most recent film in this collection). I've so far watched only 4 of the pictures so am only able to comment on the picture quality of those. Womaneater (1957) may be a terrible film but the print here is excellent. Strange World of Planet X (also '57) is a better film and the print is very good but not as good as Womaneater. Behemoth the Sea Monster (1958) is a fairly good transfer but not as sharp and clear as the old American Warners release I have. But at least it's the original British version with the Eros trademark and the correct title (the Americans called it The Giant Behemoth). The Giant Gila Monster (1959) - great print, silly but fun film.
I bought this collection purely for the PAL Region 2 version of "Gorgo"... while I enjoyed the film the quality of the transfer is to be honest rather rough - they clearly didn't have an original master to work from as the image is rather like an nth generation VHS copy. I have a US Region 1 version and that's almost mint compared to this. If Renown are to reissue this at a later date they should look around for a much better copy to work from. It partially affected my enjoyment of the film... but only partially. I haven't watched any of the other films yet... I DO have another copy of "Behemoth the Sea Monster" so it'll be interesting to compare the quality of that one too.
Good value boxset with some good creature features really enjoyed this set.would recommend this to anyone who likes old monster movies.Full of dinosaurs and giant bugs and such like there's hours of great viewing.
