Product Description

The red safe-T whistling tea kettle is constructed out of quality stainless steel and holds up to 3-quarts of liquid. The large, comfortable stay-cool handle is angled away from the steam and features an easy trigger-release that opens the spout, and finger ridges that make for safe one-handed pouring. The oversized safe-T base covers the flames from your stove, and the encapsulated bottom provides increased durability and allows for quick heating. This kettle has a whistling spout that notifies you when the water is boiling, and the wide mouthed lid removes for easy filling and cleaning. Safe-T whistling tea kettles are also available in blue, purple, and polished stainless steel, making them a great kitchen accent to suit any decor.

You may think, a kettle is a kettle. Not true. I had one before this one that was so thin that you can hear the water warming up as soon as the heat was turned on. I decided to try my luck with this one and I am very glad I did. The construction is hardy and well made. No noise whatsoever when heating. Also, the handle does not get warm at all. This pot also holds a lot more than you think. I purchased for a GREAT price and worth every penny. Looks pretty too, in red.

I loved the tea kettle until it began to leak. In the five months I have had it, I have used it no more than five or six times. There is a rust spot on one edge on the bottom, and that is where the water leaked. Obviously I wanted to return it, but received the message that it is too late.

This is a great looking teapot and holds over 8 cups of water. The whistle works fine and it pours nice. I thought the bottom would be solid surface. It has an area in the middle on the bottom that sits on your burner and the area around that center is raised above the burner. (I am currently using it on a coil burner) Water heats up good.

Opening the spout usually causes a hot droplet to splash back on my hand which hurts, but it snaps back so fast I haven't figured out away around this yet. Not a big deal. I still use it several times a day.
