Ingredients

Sugar ( sugar cornstarch), partially hydrogenated palm kernel oil, non-fat dry milk, soy lecithin (emulsifier), artificial flavor, cane sugar, cornstarch, high fructose corn syrup, water, salt, vanilla, butter flavor, FD&C yellow no. 5, FD&C red no. 40, FD&C red no. 40 lake, Carboxymethyl cellulose, Gum Arabic, vegetable glycerin. Containers Soy and milk products.

Directions

One 2 lb. container covers (1) 9" x13" cake or (2) 8" round cakes, roll to 1/8" thickness, little or no powder sugar needed for rolling, lay over cake and trim excess. To soften: Microwave 10 seconds a pound, if overheated allow to return to room temperture and knead.

I work with fondant a lot and I use to buy just white then color it, but that takes a lot of time, is messy, and the colors always turn out different. I discovered Fondarific and I love it!! They have tons of different colors and different flavors. This is a perfect orange color! It takes tons of dye to get a true perfect orange color and this gives me that perfect color without using a whole bottle of orange dye. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses orange fondant often.

The stuff tastes like fondant, you either like it or you don't. The vanilla flavor is on the better side though. This brand dries and cracks quickly, so I would work rather quick if you are intending to cover a cake with it. I just used it for detail work. This cake was made in August and I still have at least a pound and a half of it left. It has a long shelf date. Hopefully I will figure out something to do with it soon.

A common complaint with fondant is that it doesn't taste good, but I've found that all the Fondariffic colors taste much better than Wilton, including the black. Their fondant is MUCH softer than you might be used to, so if you're making figures out of it, be sure to do it well ahead of time so that you can have enough drying time. Even adding lots of sugar doesn't help the softness that much.
